Undeliverable (Poetry)

Undeliverable

I'm longing for your love.
I'm longing for you to hold me.
Every time my phone rings, my heart skips a beat.
It's not you on the other side.

You wrapped us up in a neat package.
And mailed us off to an unknown address.

Please, my love
Tell me what was missing.
Tell me where I went wrong.
Tell me what keeps you longing for something else.

I had so much more to give to you
But it all lays waste in a pile marked "undeliverable"

Oh I know that feeling. You are very good at expressing yourself.

Too bad there's not someone to receive the expressiveness into their heart.

You may never know it may touch many and maybe they just can't express as easily as other there is aways hope... but what you was simply beautiful

I write to purge, and I write in the hopes that one of the 6.5 billion other people on this earth can be touched

This poem is great. I too wish I had someone to deliver my love and feelings to. I'm still waiting for that package to be picked up though.

You just be patient there sweetie, you're still so young!

I wanna tell you "SNAP OUT OF IT!" But I know better. Your expression of it is making my heart ache. I know this feeling all too well. Time ... give it time.

Ah yes, it will happen. Time is on MY side.....For me, "out of sigh, out of mind"is far more powerful than "absence makes the heart grow fonder"

This gives me an inspiration to give a response to assholes that exist out there who would do something like this:

Withdrawal

He has me on withdrawal...
Withdrawal like heroin addicts without a taste for a day
Cold shakes like a crackhead without his fix
An alcoholic without his drunken truth
Or a pothead irritating others without his weed...
I am on withdrawal without your love.
I convinced myself that I need this
Gotta have this
Have to let this--
Love simmer on my tongue
Slither down my throat
Indulge its smell as it lingers in the air
And when I have it,
I need more.
But this love needs to be on withdrawal.
Withdrawal from your damage and your abuse;
You are toxins to my system
Cancer to my throat
A cyst to my ovaries
And not worth the shit that exit out of my ass.
Withdrawal is what I need.
Time heals all wounds
Like all addictions have an end
You manipulated me
Gave me a temporary high
And damaged me...
So I am on withdrawal from your mental crack
From your injections of physical heroin
Allowed to have a sober tongue without your liquor
And my irritibility is cured from not remembering your scent
I love this withdrawal and will look for another addiction.

I really love this poem. There are too many people who are hurt from people who don't deliver.
